Escapade 2020

Another successful escapade_team is done. I had a wonderful time at Escapade 2020. Some significant changes for me:

 

1. Because I'm even more invested in MCU than I was before, I got more out of the MCU panels this year.

2. I have a definite plan for fic. Before, I had ideas, but nothing was ever certain. My exact fic plan is to write 10,000 to 20,000-word stories with a bisexual Black Widow as the main character and in coordination with the Marvel stories where she appears.
3. I always had an interest in Marvel movies, but now I'm also into some of the comic books. Thanks to the Escapade attendee (unfortunately, I don't remember her name) who turned me on to Comixology.

4. I managed to pay my admission fee for 2021 at Escapade rather than waiting until later in the year and at the last minute.

5. I got lucky again with the swap table and found a couple of awesome items, including a new Dr. Strange t-shirt with its Marvel tag still on it.

6. I got lucky again with the raffle and won an Orphan Black jacket. I've won something at every Escapade I've attended!

I am so looking forward to attending Escapade 2021. I always take the Southwest Chief train from Chicago to California and back with my best friend ride_4ever. It's so much better than taking the plane, and it's a great way to deal with con-drop after the conference is over. We have approximately three days and two nights on the train to think about things and plan for next year.

Yes, I'll definitely be at Escapade 2021 with you, and as long as my son is not getting married when Con*Strict is happening, I'll be there too with you!

How things have changed since we posted these comments! You and I aren't doing the Escapade virtual con (and I'm not doing any of my cons that have gone virtual for 2021) but I've rolled over all my 2021 registrations to 2022 and hope you'll do the same for Escapade.

(Con*Strict actually is still currently saying they have not changed from IRL to virtual for 2021, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do change to virtual for 2021.)

I didn't roll over my 2021 registration for 2022. I took the money. LOL! However, IF Escapade is having a 2022 IN PERSON con, you know I'll be there with you! Plus, my Natasha fic will be well underway by then. BTW, I post new chapters every Sunday. So a new one is going up tomorrow (Sunday.) Please let any fic friends you know interested in MCU and/or Natasha Romanoff to check it out. ~~ Natasha is bisexual. So the sex can be either F/F or M/F, depending on the situation. However, most of what I write will be story with no sex. So the focus really isn't on the actual sex. But WHEN there ARE sex scenes, they will be explicit. ~~ Thanks! (Also, Escapade is the only con I'm interested in. My brain works better when I focus on one con and put my energy and my spirit there.)

I had already promoted your fic even before I read this comment: posted about it in two of my blogs, one of my communities, and the blog of one of my fan-friends. <3

And I only mentioned Con*Strict because back at the beginning of last year you said that you wanted to go to Con*Strict with me "unless that's when Aaron is getting married". I thought you were considering that one because a number of our Escapade friends also go to that one...but I was surprised that you would have considered a summertime con.

Thank you so much for promoting my work!!! Yeah, I thought I wanted to do Con*Strict, but much has changed since then. I'm much more in tune with who I am now and what I want out of life.
